not as clean as yesterday, a lot more texture and warble, but still good size with plenty of fun drops and a few hollow pits to pull into. a few more pics:

a few guys out there charging earlier today. looked like a lot of paddling and some severe beatings, but awesome waves. today would be a heavy day for a McDonalds tray...

wow, much bigger and more powerful than I anticipated. ###### was firing, breaking top to bottom. got some really great rides, and a few insane wipeouts. lots of paddling, but huge rewards if you can muster up the courage to stroke into a deep one...

peaky and a bit soft, but still some really clean HH+ sets rolling through the outside. the inside at the ###### of the beach is doubled up and hollow, mostly closed out but fun if you can snag a shoulder. fair+

not as glassy as yesterday but building in size. by the time I got out of the water at Kirkham there were some clean shoulder high sets rolling through. Lots of closeouts, and current pulling pretty hard south, but fun if you find the right sandbar. (drifted down to ###### and it wasn't working very well over there...) More pics:

teeny but super glassy and clean. a few chest high waves big enough to duck into. if conditions stay this clean as the swell builds this weekend it's gonna be awesome...

Definitely some juicy head high waves out there, breaking fast and hollow. It seems to have improved a little over the past few hours, and was pretty clean around 9am. The winds still seem pretty light. It's hot and sunny, a beautiful day at the beach. Today would be a good Friday to bail from work early and catch some waves if you can, so long as the wind doesn't pick up too much this afternoon.

North OB Poor - fair
A bit warbly, fat on the outside closing out on the inside, but some decent shoulder high + corners to snag if you're in the right spot. More crossed up than the last few days but hopefully size will increase throughout the day

post sesh report - swell has dropped slightly since yesterday and peaks are shifty, offering plenty of closeouts and paddling, but if you find the right sandbar it's fun and a beautiful day at the beach. saw some dolphins, sea lions and seals splashing around in the lineup too.

overcast, onshore and a bit mixed up, but still swell in the water so there are plenty of rideable waves. the inside is looking a bit cleaner, maybe chest - shoulder high. I'd bet it's cleaner at some of the more protected spots but if you don't have time to drive, OB will definitely offer a workout and a few quick rides. If I get any decent pics I'll post them up after my session.

###### this AM was weak with some shoulder high sets and some little fast ones breaking on the inside. Not great surf, but some short rides to be had and overall a beautiful day.

paddled out 9am at the ###### of the beach, and it ended up being better than it looked. took some work to get to the outside, but there were some solid rights to be had. plenty of fun waves to be had, but the conditions seemed to be getting choppier by the time I got out of the water at 10:30. worth a go if you're hungry for waves and don't have time to drive outside of the city.

Didn't want to post this as a report, but thought I'd share a glimpse of this morning at North OB. Gutless but glassy, fun just playing around in the water on a floaty board.

7am this morning north OB was warbly and closed out, definitely on the poor side of fair, but there were some steep shoulder high+ corners to snag here and there. The winds are on it now and it's blown out, but tomorrow AM might be worth a look if you can deal with the paddle out, which really wasn't so bad this morning.
