Hit LM from about 4-7. Missed the rental crowd, but witnessed the same sideshore wind and surprisingly clean lines that David mentioned in his report. The wind was strong enough to require constant paddling to stay at one peak. Eventually gave up and just sailed from peak to peak (often missing the rightspot/righttime).

Maybe fairminus? Still fun!

Headed out after work with low expectations. Checked out all the usual spots between the city and LM and somehow it seemed to have a spot with the best/most-regular spot. Waist-high lefts, bumpy and shifty. The wine was pretty strong, but didn't seem to ruin (enworsen) everything. Lots of fun sectiony lefts.

The warm water was a nice trick. No sign of Pedro, but we found LOTS of jellyfish. A fistful of jellies with each paddle.

Paddled out in less-than ideal conditions. Lots of dredging waist-high close-outs. Funky texture too. Found fun in a few quick drops, stretched the rides as far as they'd go. Come back when the tide is higher.

Fun sunset session today at LM. A few nice waist-plus waves (and a few closeouts), a stellar sunset, and an absence of post-surf work responsibilities left me in a stokey daze.

I'm usually on the early shift, so the evening session was a treat: water seemed warmer, crowd wasn't too bad either! Gonna have to try this again soon.

Fun morning for the loggers. Had a nice peak just as the crowd arrived. Paddled toward another and had it to ourselves for most of the morning. The breeze never got too bad.

Lumpy, bumpy, and at times frumpy. The regulars were getting out of the water as I pulled up a little before 7 and reported that it wasn't getting better with the dropping tide. Wind has picked up too. Still, I found a few hh sets with gentle drops and a whomp at the end. Maybe a better morning for watching a little copa mundial with a cuppa joe?

Better than it looked from the lot. Pretty fun even from 6:30-8. Seemed to deteriorate once the tide bottomed out (at least at our spot that was working nicely). Shared a fun morning with a few other stokereporters!

Overcast, foggy, mostly closed-out. LM earned a solid poor this morning. The wind held off for most of the AM, but picked up around 9.

BUT! I was treated to a solid hour of fun waist-high rights and lefts (pretty shifty) toward the small-side of the (nearly empty) beach. Dunno if that'll hold up for surfers on the later-shift, but worth looking for if you're desperate to get wet today. It's poor, but you could get lucky.

The wind cooperated. The waves didn't.

There's some swell. Pretty disorganized with a few catchable/ridable waves in the mix. Beautiful morning to be out for a paddle.

Showed some potential to improve when the tide fills in (if the wind holds off at least).

The ocean delivered a surprisingly fun, glassy bump this morning. You could catch it if you brought enough foam.

I brought out my old log for a paddle. Watched @tracey catch a bunch of rides in to the beach.

Still fun! I worked my way up (or down) the beach and found progressively bigger drops and longer rides. Saw @David charge into a few big ones and carve his initials on the face.

Overcast. A bit more wind than yesterday. Lots of people in the water, but everyone was evenly spread out. It never felt too crowded. A few critters splashing around outside the lineup.

Fun long rides this morning. All the peaks seemed pretty crowded at 7, but the place emptied out by 8:30. Tracey and I had a fun peak to ourselves during the shift-change.

Nah. Whether it was the south wind or some other oceanic juju, I don't know but it was a mess. Paddled over to seadrift chasing some phantom wave: junk. Paddled back over to groin and caught a few bumpy, sectiony rides. Showed promise when the wind dipped.

Some HH, lumbering, lumpy hills of water coming in. An excellent testbed to demonstrate the 'rip is your friend' lesson. Moments of pure junk, moments of quick drops and tempting faces. Worth the paddle for the desperate (and/or clueless).

Otherwise, light onshore breeze, plenty of sun, no crowd. Starting to see a bunch of jellyfish chunks in the water these days.

Hunted the elusive south-swell this morning. Waist-high & infrequent on 'the patch' at high tide. A bit o'wind to paddle through, but f you can catch one there are a few fun sections to connect. Gonna give it a poor based on frequency. Sunny, fun morning overall!

This morning's very low tide revealed most of the rocks in 'the patch'. Outside the big rock, there were some fun waist-high peelers rolling over murky, VERY cold water. Sheesh that was cold. Some fun, long rides making section after section.

The breeze was offshore and pretty stiff. Probably held up the faces a bit. Definitely required some extra oomph to get into the wave.

Great vibe in the water as usual. Lots of smiles. Another beautiful morning in West Marin!

Surfed 'the patch' this beautiful, sunny morning with a small gang of super-nice, super-stoked surfers. Fun waist-high rollers in the sun. Lots of waves for everyone. Saw Tracey tear up several nice waves and impress the whole group. What a great way to start the day.

On the way back over the hill, we saw a bunch of stunning classic roadsters driving north, thought about turning the car right around...

Big improvements from yesterday. Fun stuff down toward boatdocks as the tide peaked. Lots of smiling faces in the water (and not only the ones that were laughing at me). The whoppers to the north seemed to mellow a bit as the tide started to drop.

I took a look at hmb, but it didn't look too appealing. Not that LM was that much better, but I saw some faces and more possibilities (at least). The treat: fair breeze, clear and sunny skies. Shifty and jumbled waves were tricky to read. I lucked out with a few fun sectiony rides on the south-end of the beach. Whoppers to the north. Water was cold and murky. Saw a few stokereporters in the water (hi!).

I think it was trending better through the session, curious to hear how it works out later in the day (so report, please).

Surprisingly fun morning at the ###### of the beach given how bad it was on paper. Sheltered from the wind. Waves were mostly waist-high with occasional shoulder-high sets: consistent peelers (left left left!). Was getting better as I left at 9.

Bonus for paddling out during a very low tide: walking the sandbars and noting where the channels are. It's pretty handy to have a view of the bottom, uh, I mean littoral bathymetry.

Sunny beautiful coastside morning. The waves didn't cooperate with me very often, jumbled in size and direction. Caught a few rare peelers, but most of the waves I paddled into felt like I was riding down a few flights of stairs.

A few gals on shorter boards seemed to fare better than I.

Happy to get wet though!

What a difference a day makes. All that texture to jumble everything up. @traceykthompson & I tried to find something from pumphouse down to boatdocks. Would be generous to call it 'hit or miss' (let's just call it 'miss'). My acute case of leash snappage didn't help much either.

Seemed to shape up and amp up a little bit around 9.

Upside: Sun, light wind, surprisingly clear water. Waist-to-shoulder high in front of the pumphouse, way-overhead further north (at least it was that way at 7:30). I paddled to the ###### solo to hunt a rhino and bagged one big one. Spent the rest of the morning mid-beach and found many long, fun, peeling rides. Four people in the water. I got out just in time to avoid a few newb/grom/kooks and their traffic hazards.

Downside: I have to walk around with this absurd grin all damn day.

Seemed to mellow-out a bit after 9.

Beautiful morning at Linda Mar. Sun, slight offshore breeze. The lineup was packed with a veritable who's who of regular LM DP sufferers including @tehdely @hasbro @traceykthompson and a bunch of regulars who aren't on this site every waking moment. Fortunately there weren't too many waves to distract us from conversation which touched such poignant topics as "what are you doing this weekend" and "how's that new board working for you" and "when I bonked my head" and "did you just bonk your head" and "the duck story". Fun morning!

I was in the water from about 7-10 this morning. Gave the mid-beach close-outs a shot without much success. Eventually paddled down to boatdocks and found a peeling right that treated me really nice. Odd for the right to be working so well at that part of the beach, huh? Well it worked. Ended up having a very fun morning.

The rest of the beach looked better as the tide came up, but I didn't spend much time at the other breaks.

I went for a few of those mid-beach close-outs that @lkilpatrick mentioned without too much glory. Paddled down toward boatdocks and found a gang of people working a nice waist-high wave. Lots of fun up there!

Overall, a beautiful morning. Would have opted for a post-session nap on the beach if I didn't have to knock things off the work to-do list. Should be a really nice afternoon on the beach though.

Fun morning up and down the beach. Lots of energy in the early part of the morning. Seemed to mellow out after 8. I paddled up to the far-north to find a whole-lotta whomping close-out. Mid-beach seemed to work better: fun drops, make-able sections, some occasional long-ish rides. Totally worth paddling out.

Kind of a stiff current pulling everyone south. The sun finally showed up around 9.

In the fog you may find one or more of the following:
* waist-high close-outs from between ###### and the pumphouse
* quick drops and occasional shoulders that hold up around ######
* occasional head-high whopper-sets (###### only)
* a really funky current on the northmost stretch of beach

Less consistent than yesterday. Still some fun moments for folks in the right place at the right time. Energy seemed to dial down a few notches after 8:30.

If you're in the right place at the right time, there's some good fun to be found. Crowded parkinglot and a lot of people in the water, but not too much traffic. Seemed to be ridable breaks up and down the beach. The usual whoppers-toward-the-north rules apply.

TV crews were onhand to document my faceplants and other advanced maneuvers. Trended toward close-outs when I left 'round 9.

Earlier: occasional head high sets that wouldn't mush-out. Lumpy, but showed promise. A glimpse of the sun.
