Save-the-Waves??

Sorry for the "rant" but I am tired of hearing about and getting spammed by notifications of all of the Save-the-Waves parties and "fundraisers." What does STW actually DO? What do they do with the funds being raised at said events besides pay salaries and fund surf trips labeled as "meetings" or "research missions"?

good surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

well I feel humbled again by your ocean beach. wow. nothing like surfing big waves to get scared. and to think I surf Sunset Beach on O'ahu around similar size. I would call today 10' Hawaiian with solid poundings. I got pounded.

fair surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

surfed OB tonite. WOW! This place can really dish out some punishment. I am from Hawaii and I must say that OB is similar to North Shore power. Any pointers for a newbie surfer to San Francisco on how to make it outside? I spent a lot of time paddling, not much time riding waves. Aloha.
