The last few weeks have been really fun in Nor-Cal due to the glassy, offshore, some/what easy paddles, smallish conditions, but with that said the crowds have also been on fire at certain Local Sandbars.

It's not even big enough conditions to where it would have a reason to go off radar/offline? Sure signals maybe disrupted at times but why? I am always suspicious of it when it goes offline on the regular in the fall/winter,or when it's good;) I am sure a lot of us do not need all these precise readings but they sure are nice to have..

Anybody have a clue why it goes offline on the regular?

What I love about the dredging Right in the beginning is that it takes full on commitment. There's no pulling out when things get dicey. A barrel of your life with a guaranteed closeout as the topping. Gotta Pay to Play..

Throwing Buckets of Spray

On my personal Surf Pilgrimage, learning how to rip a hard top turn with large amounts of spray being thrown is very important to me.There is something about the sound of the fins slashing through a turn and the sound of the splash from water displacement that strikes a cord within me.

Today around 1pm my leash snapped after I took a hefty set wave on the head. I was honestly dreading the long swim back to shore, especially since i was pretty far out on the outer bar and there was funkiness in water movement.. So to the dude that pulled my board from the rip and rescued it from being sucked out to sea as well as saved me from a long tiresome swim to shore. Thanks again man!

Just fishing to see what may be out there swiming around.

Gotta say i am not a surf groupie. I did not attend any of the rip curl sessions so that i may see my favorite surfer surf. I surfed instead because it was way too good and uncrowded to pass up.Having made that statement i will say this, Dane is freakin Rad in many ways.He surfs the way i do, when I fantasize and wake up wet, and then come to the realization that it's morning.

Went South of the contest area to my favorite pool house.When arrived i saw the following. there was no way i was going to make it out even if i wanted to. Took a few shots of one of ######unate souls out. If this is you let me know.. I presumed to head 180degrees where i was greeted with some more manageable, windless surf, crowded as the evening progressed though.

i LOVE IT WHEN ITS SO FOGGY AND THERES NO FAIRWEATHERED STOKEREPORTERS OUT.
If you want to score you have to know your beach,dont expect stokereport to tell you every detail and paddle you out.
Got the beach all to myself today for an hour then the fog let up a little and one other guy paddled out.
We had it all to ourselves,nice hh,glassy waves,with an occasional fin here and there.
Nice surfing with you simeon
