Spent 2 hours by myself at that not-so secret break a lil north of Linda Mar. Beautiful out and glassy. Long intervals between sets though but when they came through they were SH+ beauties. Swung by Lindy after and conditions were great there (fast SH) and surprisingly not too crowded for Linda Mar. Absolutely fantastic Friday morning. Go get some.

First Aid and CPR classes

An earlier rant turned into a good discussion on CPR (http://stokereport.com/rant/blacks-surfer-comes-back-life).

I took a first-aid certification class ($50 bucks) at Bay Area RedCross and that was informative but it didn't cover CPR. But good overall material and they also have separate CPR classes (I think $65 bucks): http://bit.ly/9A7zCl (I think their site is down right now...?)

Jetty actually wasn't too bad. I would call it fair and when I pulled out it looked to be cleaning up a bit. About waist-high+ on the more generous waves.

I was a total kook out there. Went over the falls 15 min into the session, my board whipped around and finned my bicep. It was weird..the immediate shock of the pain almost made me throw up in the water. Really odd. My hand instantly turned purple (even though it didn't get hit) and I figured it was time to paddle in. Circulation has started returning to my arm but I'm sure I'm going to have a hell of a bruise soon. *end whining*

fair surfing conditions at Marin - Bolinas

Surfed Bolinas today (12 - 2:30) for the first time just for <muffs>shits and giggles </muffs>. Tide was really high at the start..going far up the ramp. Ended up at the Patch on the advice of a nice regular (Jim) and it was a pretty fun day. We caught some waist high clean sets and even saw some sun. Jim said conditions were unlike most times he is out there with waves breaking left where he has never seen it break left, etc. Almost no crowd (4-5 folks) which in my mind made the fair conditions a good day.

Was out between 10:45 and 12:45 at Linda Mar. Spent most of the time up North with some HH+ shifty, fast and sometimes weird sets. A few fun ones to be had if you were in the right place. I got caught inside on an oddly large set and was treated to some brown-foam water torture.

Finished up in front of the pump house for some more mellow fun waist+ high rides.

Surfed from 12:30 - 3. Overall surf was pretty fun with sets in the SH/HH range on the ######. But from around 1:15 - 2:15 we had an absolutely magical window of offshore wind holding up HH+ sets with some of the most beautiful faces I have ever surfed. Long walls of ocean that held up pretty much all the way to the beach. Fairly light crowd as well. Just awesome. Wish I had a camera out in the water..would have had some people thinking "No way is that Linda Mar Kookville" :)

Surfing Parking Lot Slanket/Snuggie

This morning at the Linda Mar parking lot...I am 90% sure I saw a girl using a slanket/snuggie (http://www.theslanket.com/ https://www.getsnuggie.com/) as a parking lot towel/wetsuit changing room.

This was at the same time amazingly brilliant and all together ludicrous. I loved it.

was out at 7 am on the ######...about 12 ppl out. High tide washed out a lot of waves but there some really fun fast rights for the patient. When I pulled at 930 only 3 ppl on ###### and conditions looked to be improving

I was lucky enough to go to Sayulita Mexico last week for a wedding. I haven't been to anywhere in Mexico since I was about 12 and we went to Tijuana where I couldn't help but to always wonder why every vendor was selling LA Lakers gear.

OK, yeah I was the creepy guy who just had to take a picture of the brave girl surfing in her bikini at Linda Mar today. Pic was with my phone so the resolution is bigfoot-style quality. But @crytomail...enjoy.

Seriously, watching this girl in her bikini charge these waves...and the water did feel warmish...I'm tempted to rock the board shorts on Weds.

The Jetty was going off from 3-4'ish pm while I was there. Probably about 20+ people in the water, lots of solid rights (a few overhead+) and I saw a few guys even get tucked in some barrels.
