Hh to oh tasties. Paddle out on the near king tide was good on the inside but the outside was a drubbing from the kings sceptor. Hard to line up at times but I got one that was legit. Long time no sea sfob. Been working other angles as of late!

Got up early at 8am just so I could get the favorable early wind/tide combo but the waves are not with the program today.

Bigger than it looks. Conditions were rapidly deteriorating when I got out of the water. Probably in the 10-12' occ. bigger sets (face height) range where I was at. Chunky and heavy.

Pretty fun, but also pretty mellow. Mostly CH+ with the occasional SH wave coming through if you happened to be in the right place. Winds were light offshore, but I think they might switching more N/NW right now. Definitely surfable, but nothing great. Still stoked...

Hung out where some of those new bars are. Inconsistent on the outer bar, but every now and again a fun one would come through. Most waves were shoulder high, but the + sets got to HH. Got some decent drops and a couple of turns before the wave would disappear. Super clean and a very easy paddle. Definitely worth a look.

7-8A. Almost-but-not-quite fair-plus. I had a lot of foam, so I had a lot of fun. Your results may vary.

Went out late morning. Maybe SH to HH. Thought the paddle looked easy so I wasn't very selective about where I paddled out. 1/2 hour and 500 duck dives later, I finally got through. When am I going to learn? Saw guys catching some nice open juicy set waves. Somehow I picked all the closers. Current wasn't too bad. Got some nice drops and a bottom turn or two before getting hammered. Overall definitely worth paddling out and trying your luck, especially on the other side of the high tide this afternoon.

Beautiful morning and sunrise. It's about CH-SH+. Winds are light offshore and it's not too cold. Right at dawn the surface had a bit of morning sickness to it, but as the offshores picked up things started to clean up. I think it'll improve throughout the day. I ended surfing the inside shore pounders trying to make unmakeable closeout barrels. Whatever, it was fun and a great way to start the day.

It was basically like a really good summer day, minus about 8 degrees in the water. Sunny, glass off evening session with air temps in the 60s, short period windswell in the head high range. A little too peaky but fun waves.

Also baby dolphins leaping out of the water. That was rad.
