surfed it around sunset at ###### and the winds were light, the southern swell was starting to show, and there were a few fun ones to be had. fair+

sunny day, light variable winds, almost glassy and very rideable south swell in the waist to head high range depending on where you look. it should improve with the outgoing tide this afternoon if the wind holds off, which it looks like it's doing. 2 words: go surfing!

more of the same today at ###### from 12:30 - 1:30. there was a little bit of a soft sandbar right working just north of ######. overall it was substandard but totally gorgeous out. nice to see a few nicely shaped fannies on the approach to the shoreline. a rare sight indeed.

fantastic weather at OB, but no surf. calling it junky+ (sucky+?) at ######. there were a few waist-high shoulders now and again, but it was small, jumbly, stacked-up, short period windswell, with no fangs to speak of.

despite the warm weather and mostly calm winds on the beach, it was pretty crappy surf at OB. went in between ###### and santiago and there were a few short ones to be had, but it was mostly stacked, junky, mixed up windswell, and the incoming tide wasn't doing me any favors. if the wind stays down, tomorrow could show some decent surf.

fun chest to head high set waves rolling in around cliffhouse at 2:30. more lefts with the south swell direction but some rights too. compared to how it's been I'm giving it a "good."
