From 1:30 to about 3pm there was a right that was holding up pretty well in front of Hell's Bell. I was able to snag a few from the two SUPers who were bunching up the peak, and one of them had to be the best wave I caught at LM in sometime. Only a few of us were sharing the peak but half way into it, we started sharing it with 10 others. Sun was fun, lots of ladies in bikinis and not enough parking... Good 'ol Linda.
Martin Potter and Peter Mel called it the guitar pick. Some folks called it the fifth fin. But Sean Mattison, creator of the cute, little, red skeg that Kelly Slater used in his quad at the Quiksilver Pro New York, calls it the "Nubster."
As I was walking down for my second sesh, dude said to me "It's like a wave factory!". Sure was between 7a and 12p. Sorta warberly, but fun none the less. Some bad vibes in the line up but great day no matter. I'm tired now, so I shall sleep.
I've been wanting to get new set of fins for the last few weeks but didn't have any cash. Thanks to some luck in Las Vegas yesterday, I have enough $$ to get me a quality set. My boards are set up for FCS. The plastic set just aren't doing it now days. Thanks in advance for the recommendations!
