Thursday 9pm - Ocean Beach, fair surfing

Got it in the valley of the camera around 2:30. Clean and decent size with some HH+ coming in occasionally. Many, many bros out (maybe they came from SC??). Lots of wave calling and cutting people off. Usually love the survivor mode attitude at OB but it was a bit prissy like points south. Time to explore the unseen lands. Wind picked up and killed it after about an hour anyways. Bummed.

In the depths of my 103 degree fever, with delirium setting in and all hopes of epic Ocean Beach sessions this week melting away, I began to dream dreams of the ultimate OB quiver. So before I fall into a complete fever-induced-insanity from this cold and lack of surf, I have typed out this message to you, Stokereporters, to ask what is your ultimate OB quiver? Mini-gun? Gun? Fish? Shortboard?

Saturday 6pm - Linda Mar, fair+ surfing

Swamped out this AM, but around 10 it started to pickup as the tide dropped. I got 2 great rights north of pumphouse and 3 other decent rides. Around 11 the offshore winds really picked up and it became a bit unruly, you had to wait it out and time the wind dropping with a set to get in, but overall it was decent. The usual crowd was present, unkempt, rowdy and agro but sitting outside and being patient seemed to pay off. Happy New Year!

Good surfing, got about 5 ~head high waves around pump house; two peeled right beautifully, on 3 I was a bit too deep in the pocket. Sun out and light winds. Only downer was the agro attitude in the crowd. Watch out for a guy on a red McTavish long board. He yelled at me for sitting outside and not taking a head-high close out, telling me that I screwed him even though he was sitting on his board facing the horizon. Kept yelling at me in the lineup. Didn't see him catch a single wave, then he tries to snake me on my last wave and faceplants his bottom turn. Bummer end to a great sess.
