Surf Reports by Capra

1pm-3pm, actually.. I visited my old haunt parallel to the Richmond District. Sure, it was small. There were some scattered, mushy peaks with flabby shoulders, you could tell there was wind a few miles off shore that was causing the warble... But with such great weather and a few okay rides, I had no regrets!

Wednesday 8pm - Linda Mar, poor+ surfing

4pm.. It looked way better from the beach than it was in the water. Short period, warbly, tumble cycle washing machine waves dealing out more hassle than fun. It was all about right place, right time... As for me, I was in the wrong place most of the time, getting throttled with incessant duck diving. I took one for a short ride, 3 tumbled me, then I moved on to better things.

Wednesday 6pm - Linda Mar, poor+ surfing

On the Mexico end from Noon to 2pm - Sunny, with the fog rolling over the hill from Devil's slide. The wind was howling out of the s0uth, but there wasn't much chop.. Loonnngg waits... When the sets came through (sometimes just one-wave "sets"), they were small and gutless - but there were some rides to be had for those with enough foam. Nice to get out there nonetheless.

Tuesday 8pm - Linda Mar, fair+ surfing

Was there this afternoon on the high tide..Small ones down on the sureño end but still just do-able on the fish. Some long waits, but nearly glassy conditions with some fun ones rolling through every now and then. Pair that with sunshine and mellow vibes and you get at least a fair +.

Was out from noon to 2. Long waits, but the occasional nuggets were worth it.. Plus the weather was nice.

Haven't checked the surf conditions, but here's a NOAA bacteria warning for "Surfers Beach"...

I'd stay away from the Jetty for a while...
