Join Surf For Life on a trip this Spring or early Fall to Central America. We travel to some of the best breaks in the region to surf and give back to the community. Surf For Life sponsors educational and community driven development projects in coastal communities.
Somebody asked me why I wasn't wearing a hood or earplugs in the water a couple sessions ago. They said I should be preventing Surfer's Ear. They also work at a hospital and have sat in on a surgery. Wondering what ya'll use to prevent surfers ear. It looks like a pretty gnarly surgery (see youtube). Is it something to be concerned with?

I was arguing with a buddy about the best time to surf OB. I think that it's better as the tide drains out from mid to low and he seems to think that it's better as it fills in. (He ain't from these parts). I tried explaining that Linda Mar works better on an incoming tide but OB doesn't follow the same formula.
