Rant - Ocean Film Fest 2012

The 'surf' program is coming up on March 9th @ 7pm. Looks like it will be significantly more fun than being stuck on a cruise ship in Somali pirate infested waters.

Rant - Kim Jong Il Memorial Paddle Out

Time to celebrate the passing of the great leader, fashion icon, and comedy legend that was Kim Jong Il. Location is still being confirmed by his dogs in Pyongyang but the early word is it will be right here in San Francisco tomorrow AM at his favorite secret spot you might call 'LivingWoman's'.

Saturday 5pm - Ocean Beach, fair+ surfing

Paddled out by the contest site around 1 to check out the pros and see if I could snag some as well. They turned otherwise marginal HH+ waves into giant hacks, airs, and barrels. Ended up right by Gabriel Medina who was killing the left I was sitting on. Decided it was more fun to watch.

Friday 9am - Ocean Beach, poor+ surfing

A low risk, low reward kind of morning out there. Lots of short length WH rides coming through at first light but it got pretty swamped out within an hour. Found myself toying with the inside shorepound for the last half hour. Logs might be able to have some fun out there still.
