Surf Reports by duckdive

We've got a nice morning with cloudy skies and offshore winds. There is a powerful 16-18s swell in the water producing waves in the 2xOH range. It's still a little mixed up looking, and the inside is mixed up and junky, creating challenging paddling. There are some bombs from time to time on the outside making it (maybe) look worth the effort. fair-

Thursday 6am - Ocean Beach, poor surfing

Thursday morning brings us clear skies, light winds and surf in the 2xOH range. It's looking pretty ragged out there, with funky, sectiony surf breaking up and down the beach. The paddle looks pretty challenging and the surfing opportunities few and far between. If you are feeling really desperate you might find something to slide down, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Wednesday 6am - Ocean Beach, poor surfing

It's a beautiful clear morning at Ocean Beach. The NW wind continues to rage producing whitecapped, completely blown out conditions. It's a total mess out there. Bring a kite or or stay at home. Poor-

Tuesday morning brings us clear skies and light onshore winds. The surf is in the head high+ range and junky, sectiony and ragged. The wind isn't nearly as strong as yesterday but is still blowing hard a few miles out to sea. It is forecast to increase as the day wears on. I didn't see anything to call surfable.

It's 6am and the NW is already howling. It's gusting up to 30mph. Suffice it to say that it is a blown-out mess. It's a shame, since there is a nice groundswell in the water. The wind will almost certainly blow for the rest of the day. Ocean Beach is closed for business, unless of course, you have a sail or kite. Poor-

Sunday morning brings us overcast skies and a howling wind out of the NW. The surf is in the head high range, blown out, with whitecaps to the horizon. It doesn't look like a surf morning. The winds are forecast to blow all day and into tomorrow. I feel the winds will anger the natives. I fear for our sanity.

An epic surfing day at Todos Santos Island. The best 24 big wave riders on the planet compete in giant surf.

Saturday 6am - Ocean Beach, fair surfing

Conditions look similar to yesterday morning, a nice offshore breeze, some clean longer period swell in the water and glassy conditions. Waves look to be in the HH+ range and fairly heavy on the inner bars. it's still a bit sectiony. Looks like a good morning to surf OB. Go get some.
