Rant - Dredging stealing from SFOB

Dredge mining of shoals near Angel and Alcatraz islands and throughout Suisun Bay is robbing the bay of sand that keeps San Francisco's Ocean Beach from eroding, according to new research by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Thursday 10am - Linda Mar, fair- surfing

Any day you get to surf with whales is pretty darn okay in my book. They're about 200 yards off shore and spouting out their location. Fun to watch during the lulls. There were some flashes of fun with some waves linking up the reforms for longer rides. The bigger sets gave a little more to work with, but not much time before closing out or just flabbing out. Fairly sunny.

Wednesday 3pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

For awhile there, it was pretty fun. Amidst the closeouts were some nice, somewhat chubby, faces. As usual, the bigger end had more excitement. A little chop and wonk, but some good rides. Sunshine is trying to poke through, but it ain't happenin.
