Surf Reports by greacen

Couldn't make it to the beach this morning, but was nice to get an aquatic story during the AM commute:

Thursday 9am - Linda Mar, poor surfing

Yeah we went for it. There was a little wave to ride. Optimists (and desperados) could see it.

Lumpybumpyjunky.

Skip shot some pics of the event. I'm not gonna swipe the files, just go over to his site to see 'em.

Even with the not-so-hot reports, we hit LM a little after 4. Saw the junky junkiness that the cams showed but went for it anyway and sampled something from almost every peak on the beach. Came back to the car a little before 8.

Windy, short period stuff. Occasionally it all held up and offered some face-time. Yes, there were indeed waves sprinkled between generous helpings of the following:

Tuesday 9pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

Fun afternoon/evening session (4ish-8) with a bunch of stokereporters. Nice to put faces with the names. Short-period junk and somewhat crowded conditions couldn't scare away the fun.

We paddled to a less crowded spot and caught some quick drops on the inside. Ended up paddling back to the crowded spot because well, it was working.

Hit LM from about 4-7. Missed the rental crowd, but witnessed the same sideshore wind and surprisingly clean lines that David mentioned in his report. The wind was strong enough to require constant paddling to stay at one peak. Eventually gave up and just sailed from peak to peak (often missing the rightspot/righttime).

Maybe fairminus? Still fun!
