I'm a big fan of the Pickle (http://www.picklewaxremover.com/) for getting the final bits of wax off a board, but I've always struggled to find a good way to get that first chunky layer off. Over the years I've used spatulas, wax combs, random plastic, etc. but haven't found that perfect device. Maybe the Wax Buddy works (see video). Anyone use it? Anyone find something really effective?

More like Cheech and Chong really. I'm a huge fan of Gerry Lopez and Herbie Fletcher, but in this video they both seemed like a couple of stoned teenagers. Even so, if you can get past the dazed and confused banter, there's some amazing footage of Fletcher driving his jetski like a madman...

Guy who got knocked out at Blacks comes back to life and talks about the wipe out. For those who quote the Bear and say "You're always alone out there..." I beg to differ. Without the other guys in the line-up, this guy was a goner...

Surfer is knocked unconscious by a large wave closing out on him. Rescued and resuscitated by three alert surfers. Just shows that even if you know how to surf, mother nature can hammer you anyway....
