Wednesday 12pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

1000-1130 am | WH-HH | Breezy | Sun | fair - good | (not at for Boat Docks) |

Lots of water moving along with some wind chop, so effort was required to get into the bigger waves, but there was good times to be had. I got into one SH right that morphed into a left with a great drop on the reform.

Tuesday 12pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

[parking lot report]

Small but surf worthy as judged by LBers getting waves on each set that come through. Also checked various spots south of SM LM, all of which had definable peaks.

Surfed Cowells from 1:30-3:30 p.m. as every other spot around SC was blown out. The first 45 minutes were a lot of fun, with the wind dropping and WH-CH peelers coming through the bay with only a very few people out there. Then, the crowds came and chased away the good waves but we still caught our share of what was there and got a few moments of sunshine too.

And, it looks like the wind maybe shifting offshore...

Thursday 11am - Half Moon Bay, fair surfing

swirling wind | WH - SH | lots of bump on the face | crumbly but strong | Fair +

0830 - 10:00 a.m., beach break several miles south of the jetty. Conditions were very reminiscent of a fair/smallish day at OB. Several peaks working on the outside. Swirling winds were knocking down the wave and creating some serious crumble, yet it had some real punch. The takeoff zone was tight - everything to surfer's right was closed out and 10 feet to surfers left had nothing - but I was solo and the pocket had good spring surf.

Wednesday 10am - Linda Mar, fair surfing

variable wave size, strength, and cleanliness

surfed dawn ~ 9 a.m. with @rmk. Conditions changed dramatically several times during the session, in this order: strong and messy | weak and clean | clean and fun | closeout. Seemed like everyone in the water caught at least one peeler. I got into a very fun steep left on the first wave of the day and had the opportunity to attempt some stepping later on. Best of all, the wind was mild and offshore.

Jetty | WH - HH | Wind leading to expected texture | Bump & Warble on the Face

A lot of water moving to the beach right now... there are waves to be ridden for sure, but also a lot of large rollers which are tough to paddle into until they closeout in the shallows. The shore break is pretty rough in about 4 feet of water. The peak in front of the break wall as well as the one 100 feet south are both working.

Indicators: WH-HH | light breeze | fun clean wave | plenty of surf to go around | watch out for surf school inside at Cowell's which was smaller and more crowded but ridable.

Fun wave before the rising tide swamped us out. Caught a few classic waist high rollers from the stairway to the beach. Guy in the super man wetsuit was surfing beautifully, really a pleasure to watch. Good vibe in the water.

8 - 10 a.m. | WH - HH | mild breeze | strong current moving towards the hook | fun

As usual at PP, I had trouble keeping position - most the time I was either too close to the cliffs and stuck in the white water or too far out on the shoulder to get into the wave. But, Chris was absolutely working it and having a great time, so it was definitely me, not the wave. Tide was still filling in and the water temp was cold, some but surprisingly little bump on the face considering how windy its been. Clear water sunny skies.
