Surf Reports by Kootzky

I had an opportunity to go to Costa Rica in mid June and I jumped all over it... I know it's the low season that time of year, but we're staying in Santa Teresa on the Nicoya Peninsula. I hear it's good year round but just curious if anyone had any experience during that time... Also I think we decided to just rent boards down there and avoid the $125 each way that TACA wants to charge.

So apologies for the vagueness of my request, but hopefully the lack of surf will elicit more responses... I'll be starting my third full surf season this fall and am ready to step up to the short(ish) board game. I spent most of last fall/winter on a 7'6" mini tanker but I think I'm going to buy something in the 7'2" thruster range. I'll be surfing OB mostly with the occasional LM morning.

Saturday 12pm - Half Moon Bay, fair surfing

I'd call it fair early this morning at the Jetty from 8-10. If surf reporting was relative, i'd call it good, considering LM reminded me of a shaken up can of soda...

Sunday 12pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

surfed the ###### from 9-11 this morning. nice right working at the far ######, but the peak was a bit crowded so headed to the next left for the last hour and a half. workable surf til around 11 when the jumbling started... glad i was in the water when i was.

So this may seem like a funny question, but I've never really skated before and I live on GG park. Seems like the perfect place to learn. I consider myself a competent surfer but far away from where I want to be and just curious if anyone feels like their skating skills help in the water.

Rant - OB

If we cant enjoy our usual OB today, I'll settle for option 2!
