Do we need to start referring to swans as "the man in the white tuxedo"?

The rest of the world looks at the Linda Mar cam at 7:20 this morning and sees looming 10-12 ft rollers pounding with a majestic ferocity. You? You see 4-6 ft. with occasional 8ft and "looking mostly closed out"

" I would say 6-8 with occasional bigger sets. I got some fun rides ! "

Standing on the beach staring at the sea, there's no place I'd rather be.

Stretching from side to side, the cold reaches deep, but I'm beckoned by the incoming tide.

This is really cool, but imagine how loud the mountainside would get if everyone had one.

This week, we lost a great friend.

Barney, the sea lion, was doing what he loved most when fate intervened - surfing and eating just outside the breakers at Linda Mar.
