Gorgeous day at smlm and pretty fun surf, too. Waist to chest high mostly - a bit bigger up north. Probably get better when the tide drops.

Rant - Surfing the Holy Land

I'm on my way to the land of milk and honey (aka Israel) for work for a couple weeks, and I was wondering if anyone has ever surfed the beaches of Tel Aviv.

I know Doc Paskowitz brought surfing to Israel, but I haven't heard much else about surf in the holy land.

Rant - San Francisco Surf Conditions, part deux

Hello StokeReporters, here's an update to the surf conditions app I posted a couple weeks ago. I added some weather data, and for those who asked, you can now scrub the timeline. I also added the ability to select different date ranges and any past date.

Crisp cold morning at smlm with a light sideshore breeze. Surf is clean & waist to chest high. Lots of small waves breaking on the beach.

Smlm looks like close out city - at least north of Chalupa Reef. Some short bumpy rides down south. It is sunny with light offshores though.

Rant - Surf Conditions Application

Hello fellow StokeReporters, I wanted to share an application I've started building (pre-alpha) to visualize swell data reported for the San Francisco Bay Area. Right now, the app only displays swell direction & energy from the San Francisco Bar buoy, but I'd like to add more swell information, more buoys, and weather info.

Lots of fun chest to HH waves at smlm, but it's a bit of a drop-in fest. Had my longboard and wished I had something more maneuverable...
