Really fun, bowly peaks in the CH-SH range. Pretty inconsistent, but the sets always provided 2-3 good, rippable waves. Not much crowd, but a good amount of current. The south swell + incoming tide made it hard to stay on the same peak. Water felt a few degrees warmer than normal but maybe it was the warm evening air. Once the tide came in it sort of killed the spot I was at, but even as I was changing i saw some good sets roll in and it made me wish I stayed out just a little longer.

Considering how crappy the conditions have been + great weather = surf day. CH-SH+, crumblers with no real organization or consistency. Every once in awhile a nice nugget would stand up. I went on the high tide, which i think helped smooth things out compared to this morning's surf check. Both the winds and the crowds are light. Only complaint is that I hadn't been in the water in weeks and I started to develop noodle arms just after 45 minutes. Time to head back to the beach to get some sun and c h i l l.

It's so damn nice out it's a shame that SFOB is still sloppy jo-loppy. Poor shape...SH-HH waves breaking all over the place. Still pretty windy (I'm over this freakin' wind). Saw two guys out the entire stretch of the beach. At some parts of the beach the inside looked kind of fun to body surf. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

KH to WH wind chop. Fog rolled in right around 5pm. I sat and watched it for awhile and saw maybe 1 or 2 waves that looked surfable. Tide is still kind of high and it's doing that weird switch-over thing that isn't helping. Saw a few LB'ers snag a few, but all I have is a fish which I brought. Even with that, it would have been tough. Classic spring.

Killer weather today. Soft WH peaks with a bit of a crumble. Tide is still pretty high but going out fast. Winds are becoming more west but it's still pretty clean out there. If you haven't been able to get off work yet there should still be some leftovers by this evening.

Conditions might be improving from this morning as things try to clean up. Big time case of morning sickness out there. Lots of people hanging out staring out at the ocean, drinking coffee wondering if they should paddle out, check somewhere else, or get some work done. Mostly cross up, wind swell peaks. Tide is coming in fast, but only marginal help from the tide push. Its about CH-SH with the occasional HH set that's probably breaking where you're not sitting. Hardly any wind, but it's not exactly clean out there. BUT, it's surfable and you might snag a few. Maybe you'll get lucky and get that 30 minute window where everything comes together and it turns into a good sesh.

Conditions now are fair. It was too drained out by time I got out of the water. Surface is clean, but waves are kind of disorganized. CH-HH windswell peaks. Moderate offshores with warm, sunny skies.
