Not SFOB but within an hour of it. Some great rides for those with skills. Paddle looked to be relatively easy compared to OB but that is easy to say from the shore. A little too fast and unforgiving for me. Plenty of guys getting shacked.

Wednesday 6pm - Linda Mar, good surfing

Linda straight hooked me up this afternoon. Glassy, slight offshore, sunny, CH to HH lines coming in. Not all that consistent but when they came, they were fun. Drop in, down the line, then pull into the close out barrel. Pitted so pitted! Best I've seen it there in a while, Stoked!

For those of you who couldn't make it out to OB today this is what it looked like around 1:30. Sorry about the quality. I don't have the 500M lens for those close ups but I still thought it was worth sharing. If you look closely you can see some people on those waves. There were quite a few more people in the water than I expected for the size. It was definitely a day for those in good shape with skills. I was happy to be watching from the beach today. Worst placement goes to the SUP in the impact zone. He got punished on that one. To his credit he and another did make it out into the line up.

Way south of Santa Cruz, Haggs in SoCal was a lot of fun this morning. Gotta love when Surfline is totally wrong. Great little lines coming in. Sunny blue skies, dry hair paddle out and plenty of fun waves for everyone. Great way to start the day. It may be a double session day. Stoked!

Wednesday 7pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

LM held up and was still fun this afternoon around 4. I was worried I had missed the window but was stoked to find SH waves with the occasional + with nice shape rolling in one after another. Easy paddle out and plenty of waves. I actually had to let several nice ones go by because I was out of breath from catching so many waves in such a short period of time. Good Times!

Wednesday 4pm - Linda Mar, poor surfing

My expectations were set when I got to LM and saw one person in the water. Choppy, sloppy, foaming mess. I decided to go in just to get wet and get some excercise. As I paddled out I noticed the only other guy out was going in. I stayed in for about a half hour and was paddling the entire time. No sitting around waiting for waves today. I was surprised to actually catch about three fun SH waves that were not closeouts. I saw one other guy come out while I was in the water, he seemed to be getting a few fun rides too. It could have been worse.

Friday 12pm - Linda Mar, fair surfing

Quick session this morning. I was in the water from about 9-10. Sets were coming in HH+ on the outside. Mostly closing out but there were a few shorter rides to be had. We had several good rides but also took a beating trying to get back out a few times. When the sets came they brought some punch, making it harder to get out, for LM. Had to wait it out then paddle back out for more. Water was a little colder than it has been. I almost wished I had my hood. Far from epic but still fun. Not too many people out either.

Fun waves at OB. Coming in about chest high to head high in some spots. You have to be in the right spot but when you are they are fun. It was nice to be out at OB without having to duckdive 20 times to get into the lineup.
