Carbon footprinting is the process of understanding the greenhouse gases and environmental impact created from the manufacturing of a product. It is measured from its birth to disposal or ‘Cradle to Grave’. This process can be applied to surfboards by understanding the production and life cycle of a surfboard.

The long talked about circular wave pool has finally become a reality. Unfortunately for Kelly Slater, it wasn't his company that developed it. A polish entrepreneur funded the $5 Million project that can create an endless 4-6ft wave.

The first rounds of testing happened this week and based on the video, I'm pretty sure a new world record for longest barrel ride was set.

This weekend the surfboard show Sacred Craft is up in Santa Cruz. Its going on for one more day, tomorrow, Sunday the 20th.

Its $10 to get in and you'll see a bunch of cool things including live shaping, tons of surfboards and some legends of the craft.

Artificial surfing reefs have been a topic of much speculation because of their perceived ability to eliminate scarcity. The idea is that if we have the ability to create new breaks, we can create more and we can build them perfectly. Imagine what it would be like to have a Bells Beach, Trestles or Pipeline in every city.

Our latest article looks at surf backpacking trips. They are a great way to explore some remote coastlines in a slow, relaxing and eco-friendly way. They aren't for everyone, but if you're a bit adventurous and in good shape, it is great way to spend a week.
