Sunday 11am - Bolinas, fair surfing

Things started off doubled-up, crumbly, and confused around 8:30, with a strong rising tide which made for a very trying slog from Wharf Rd. to the "Groin". Anyone trying to paddle out that side of the sign was rapidly dispatched to the channel. The "Patch" was working pretty well if you could get out. That dude with the hat was ripping it on his log. You guys know who I'm talking about. Caught a few fun and short rides commensurate with my mediocre surfing ability and cashed in my chips around quarter past 10. First pic is from before.

Thursday 9am - Half Moon Bay

Epic 0 duck-dive session @ SMHM w/ @lkilpatrick and over_the_falls. Rode some mackin' 0.3xOH rollers in the fog. Stoked, I'm ready for Jaws!

Sunday 12pm - Bolinas, fair surfing

Softop City @ Bo. Played around in the "groin" and got sent into the channel; tried my hand at the "patch" and spent most of my time catching short rides on the inside before a lull finally came and I made it out. All that energy from this monster swell has been making it break everywhere at once, and fast. Not too big, though. Lotta first-timers, couples, and groms.

Can't complain :)

Thursday 11am - Ocean Beach, good surfing

Party at Pacheco. Took the Xtracycle out around 8-ish, hung out on the inside and "surfed" a bunch of shoulder-high waves on the Pacheco-Quintara-Rivera-Santiago express. Emerging around 10:30, I asked a snowy plover what street I was at and it just peeped at me, so I had to bug a dog-walker instead.

I love days like this... here comes the swell (oh shit!)

No, it's not a movie, nor the latest Mavericks drama. The Westboro Baptist Church (of "God Hates *" fame) has finally noticed our proud rebellion and inveighed in on Steve Schafer's exsanguination-by-shark. I think we can finally agree that there is nowhere left to hide.

Saturday 6pm - Bolinas

Excellent come-back sesh @ MCBL. Been 2 weeks, was worried I'd've forgotten how to surf! Caught a few at the "Patch" as the sun went down :)

I am at work, investigating my new beard, playing with the new HTML5 feature on YouTube, and upgrading Force10 switch firmware. *yawn*

I've been refreshing the beach monitoring page every hour or so and the dreaded blinking triangles have appeared. This means that a mixture of raw sewage and stormwater has been released due to the system being at capacity.
