When the Hawaiian natives invented surfing they did it naked. When Mark Twain visited Hawaii in 1866 he wrote “In one place we came upon a large company of naked natives, of both sexes and all ages, amusing themselves with the national pastime of surf- bathing.” Clearly the Hawaiians were on to a good thing. Too bad the missionaries messed that up.

Dolphins have been filmed playing an impromptu game of football... using a jellyfish as an improvised ball. A team of marine biologists were astonished to see a dolphin swim under a jellyfish and with a quick flick of its tail shoot it out of the water.

When you swim with the sharks, be prepared to get bitten. That's a warning one worker at a sea life centre might be thinking he should have listened to.
